The living room in this Murrumba Downs house is built around a bay, so the glazing runs across three faces with an angled corner at each change of direction. That shape decides how the shutters get panelled before anything else does.
White Plantation Shutters Around a Murrumba Downs Living Room Bay
Each face of the bay was given its own set of panels, hung in pairs, with the frames finishing hard against the angled junctions. Done that way the run reads as one line of louvres travelling around the room rather than three unrelated windows that happen to sit near each other. The head and sill lines were kept level all the way through, which is what keeps the eye moving across the corners instead of catching on them.
The before photo shows the room bare: dark carpet, white cornice and skirting, cream aluminium window frames and a sill sitting low, not far above the skirting board. Glass that low to the floor puts the whole room on show from the front garden, the driveway and the street across the low brick wall. With the shutters in, the panels run down to the sill on every face, so the lower part of the glass is covered properly rather than left open below a short blind.

Why white suited this room
The ceiling, cornice and skirting were already white, so white shutters carry that same line down the wall and across the window run without introducing a second colour. Against the dark brown carpet the louvres are clearly the bright element in the room, which is how it reads in the finished photo.
Each panel tilts through its full range independently, so the faces aimed straight at the footpath can be angled down while the panels looking into the garden beds stay open.
