Plantation Shutters Sunshine Coast

Plantation Shutters no matter how you live on the Sunshine Coast
The Coast splits into two quite different jobs, and the right material changes depending on which side of the Bruce Highway you’re on.
Along the coastal strip, salt is the deciding factor. Homes through Golden Beach, Pelican Waters, Currimundi, Warana, Mooloolaba and Alexandra Headland sit close enough to the water that airborne salt reaches the window line every day. Painted timber struggles with that over time. We’ll usually steer you to PVC internally and aluminium for anything outdoors or on the weather side of the house. Canal properties and beachfront units get it worse than most, and older units in particular often have aluminium sliders and non-standard reveals that need measuring rather than estimating.
The newer estates are a different build entirely. Birtinya, Bokarina, Sippy Downs, Peregian Springs and the Pelican Waters expansion all run wide stacker doors onto the alfresco, big north and west facing glass, and open plan living. Those openings want bi-fold or sliding track shutters so the walkway stays clear.
Up in the hinterland it changes again. Buderim, Maleny, Montville, Palmwoods and Nambour sit higher and further from the salt, which puts timber back on the table. A lot of those homes are older, with deeper architraves, non-standard window sizes and existing trim worth colour matching rather than working around. Cooler evenings mean people use adjustable louvres differently up there, closing them for insulation rather than only for heat.
Whichever side you’re on, we measure every opening and quote on the spot.

Where we work
We run the Coast from Caloundra north to Peregian Beach, and west from the Nicklin Way and Kawana Way up into the range.
In a given week that might mean a canal house at Pelican Waters in the morning and a hundred year old cottage on the Blackall Range after lunch. The Pumicestone Passage properties around Golden Beach and Bells Creek deal with constant salt and afternoon westerlies off the water. Thirty minutes inland at Maleny or Montville the same house would take timber without a second thought. Those two jobs need different materials, different hardware and different conversations, which is the whole argument for coming out and looking rather than quoting from a photo.
We’re regularly through Caloundra, Moffat Beach, Currimundi and Little Mountain, along the Kawana strip at Wurtulla, Bokarina, Warana, Buddina and Birtinya, up through Minyama, Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headland, Maroochydore, Buderim and Sippy Downs, out past Twin Waters, Pacific Paradise and Marcoola to Mount Coolum, Coolum Beach and Peregian. West of the highway we cover Nambour, Palmwoods, Woombye, Maleny, Montville, Mapleton, Beerwah, Landsborough and the Glass House Mountains.
Peregian Beach is our northern limit on the Coast. If you’re south of there, we come to you. No showroom visit, no travel charge, and the quote is done while Chris is there.
